Milo Bank$ Delivers Alt-Hip Hop Tinged ‘Sonder’ EP

London-based alternative hip hop artist Milo Bank$ serves up highly anticipated EP ‘Sonder’.

Leading with ‘918 Spyder’, the sinister music video at forefront of the project is a dark and aggressive mission statement from the London creative. Grounded in the classic influences that have inspired his work from the start – alternative-style boom bap, orchestral arrangements, heavy wordplay, and the sample-heavy beats – the record showcases a new and previously unexplored sound with producer Chris Vella.

Discussing “918 Spyder”, Milo said: “Calling the track 918 Spyder was simply a joke between myself and Jac(JC.B). We were playing Need For Speed at the time, and I was using the 918 Spyder while playing, and Chris was just bashing out the beat in the background. We just thought it would be funny to call the song that, because the guys are simply a turbo-powered engine.”

Milo’s forthcoming EP, Sonder, comes from his realisation that every single passerby has a life as vivid and complex as your own. “To me Sonder is a collection of emotions and events that came out of the most productive and experimental period of my music career,” Milo says. The project is set to represent the first he and longtime producer Chris Vella have pooled their talents together for an extended period of time, coming up with an EP that perfectly conveys the rough times that we are going through.

“The word SONDER really resonated with us as we feel that everyone went from dealing with their own regular life to being thrown into this special scenario that actually brought us closer,” Chris said.
