Producer / Singer TheUmutmusic’s New Release “In My Zone” Out Now

New York based musician Umut Gundogdu aka TheUmutmusic is showing his strength with back to back releases, part of his project where four songs take us through a story. Umut released the first Chapter “Burn It Up” on October 3rd. It was about a character deciding to take revenge, with sensual visuals – a fireplace in the background, whiskey in hand and Umut’s dark features completing the look.

Now Umut has released Chapter 2 “In My Zone” continuing the story from the first chapter and in this chapter the protagonist is preparing for a war against his past. TheUmutmusic picked an authentic boxing club for this music video. The attention to detail and careful settings in these music videos are a product of Umut’s eye for direction after graduating from film school.

This project is being shot by his film school friends Mohammed Sonie and Colique Culture with Umut as director. As with Umut’s other songs, he starts from scratch producing the beat, writing lyrics and mix & mastering. The editing, color and special effects in the music video are also done by Umut himself, a testament to his very broad range of talent. After this one Umut plans to keep the mystery alive over the holidays and release Chapter 3 and 4 in early 2021.
