Summer Payton Drops A Gorgeous Album Perfectly Title Golden Hour

There’s a feeling of togetherness and triumph this holiday season, more so than any year prior that we can remember of. With 2020 being the year that it has been, halting the world quite literally to a full-stop, the year that we thought we were going to have was completely turned on itself. Along with the global pandemic, we’ve experienced political upheaval and catastrophic events that forced ourselves to turn inward and reflect on who we are and how we want ourselves to be portrayed.

However, we’ve now come to the golden hour of the year, where we recount our losses and bless our wins of the past year, and no win is more grandiose than releasing a full-length album, and that’s exactly what Los Angeles-based R&B Singer-Songwriter Summer Payton did, aptly called Golden Hour – listen below:

Each track off of the album gives an honest recount of Summer’s own personal experiences, whether that be insecurities or triumphs, consistently pushing the boundaries of what is perceived to be R&B / Neo-Soul. With sharp production and Summer’s insatiable vocal prowess, each track is a firm reminder of all that we’ve gained and lost throughout the year.  This album is worth every listen as a self-reflection for us all to understand and realize all that we’ve gained within ourselves throughout the year, and to never sacrifice our own selves.
