Spring 2021 Sees an Exciting Drop of Fresh BAPE STA™ Colourways and Structurally New Designs, Landing on 6th February

BAPE STA™ HISTORY

Having first dropped in 2000, BAPE STA™ became an instant icon as the signature footwear of A BATHING APE®. The star-shaped “STA” logo sweeping along the sides and the vibrant collection of colourways and designs has been a defining feature of Japanese streetwear over the last 20 years. With every new intriguing design, collectors and fashion leaders all over the world have been filled with excitement. The unique style has also attracted the attention and involvement of international celebrities, including Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Jay Z, and Pusha T to name a few.

BAPE STA™ 2021 LAUNCH

Spring 2021 sees BAPE STA™ bring back nostalgic designs that replicate the original models, elevated with a modern update. Releasing in 3 timeless colourways – black, white, and beige – they deliver a clean, simple and relaxed look. The upgraded models come with a new sole that shapes the shoe in a unique way to make each step feel that much lighter. Combining soft suede with premium leather gives the new BAPE STA™ an understated mood that is the perfect combination of cool and luxury.

FOUR ALL-NEW BAPE STA STYLES

BAPE STA™ will release four brand new silhouettes that will drop later on in Spring 2021. This includes the BAPE SK8 STA, the BAPE STA™ 93 HI, the BAPE COURT STA and the BAPE BLOCK STA HI – an array of high and low tops that are guaranteed to draw attention.

BAPE SK8 STA

The BAPE SK8 STA™ have a raised STA™ logo on all three of the colourways, with the motifs contrasting on opposite colour tones. These are further enhanced with PVC or outlined in fine leather. Colourways include Gym Red set on Wheat, Forest Green combined with Dark Purple and sharp Electric Yellow on Deep Black. Each comes with adjustable lace holes on an upper made of soft, comfortable suede. Set on a gum sole, they are decorated with a rubber “93” badge and leather STA™ motif. Each pair also comes with the signature BAPE® logo embroidered onto the back heel.

BAPE STA 93 HI

The BAPE STA™ 93 HI incorporates a unique supporting side cage set around the leather – the Grey and Black colourway is patterned in a faux crocodile skin print. The design has the rubber “93” badge wrapped around the side and the signature BAPE logo embroidered into the heel. Using a monochrome palette of Grey and Black, the model lends a modern feel, whilst the warm, earthy tones of the Light Sand and Orange colourway offers a choice with more vibrancy.

BAPE COURT STA

The low top BAPE COURT STA™ designs are being released in a muted Mist Grey and Royal Purple colourway and Light Grey with Cream. The grey and purple design has a suede upper, whilst the grey and cream pair is finished in supple leather. Both are hot pressed with the iconic ABC camo pattern, with the BAPE signature logo embroidered into the back heel of the midsole. The unique use of tone-on-tone blocking and colour contrasts really elevates this design into something never done before in the BAPE STA™ collections.

BAPE BLOCK STA HI

A slick Velcro strap finish characterises the BAPE BLOCK STA HI™ from other designs. Whilst the Black and Lime version provides sharp, contrasting colour blocking that is intended to stand out, the Light Grey and Dark Green

colourway provides a less intense palette. With the subtle integration of the “93” badge along the side, the shoes also have the BAPE logo embroidered in a contrasting colour along the midsole at the back heel.
