Mark Cheatham Featured in Live Nation’s ‘My Rhythm and My Blues’ Series

The legendary Mark Cheatham of Creative Artists Agency (CAA) recently appointed co-head of Global Hip-Hop/R&B Touring division stars in the newest episode of My Rhythm and My Blues discussing how he went from Navy Veteran to a Hollywood super-agent representing some of the biggest names in pop.

Getting his start at Associated Booking Corporation, he shares how important it is to break out of the “Urban Talent” category as a Black agent to work with global superstars such as Lady Gaga, Cardi B, P!nk, Lil Baby, and Justin Bieber. His diverse upbringing in Queens, New York and time in the Navy with Charlie Murphy gave him the spark to join the music industry. This led him early on to work with Brandy, SWV, Usher, and Eddie Murphy. Watch below to hear his incredible stories and what he’s doing to empower the next generation of young Black executives.

My Rhythm and My Blues centers around artists and executives as they share deep, meaningful opinions on topics such as racial double-standards for artists, diversity within music companies, and the history of revolutionary songs.
