Up and Coming 17 Year Old New Jersey Producer Arayem Talks Working With Artists Like G Herbo Jose Guapo and YungSmilez

New Jersey music producer Arayem born Ram Mackay is a music producer from Ashland, New Jersey. A music kid at heart, Arayem grew up taking guitar lessons and playing the drums. Eventually at age 14, through searching the internet he had found his new addiction; Music Production. Through the program LMMS, and FL Studio, he started his journey in his new career. Now at age 17 he has amassed millions of streams, and has worked with G Herbo, YungSmilez, The University Of Arkansas Football and many more.

Hype: Where you from?

Arayem: Ashland, New Jersey

Hype: Who are some of your musical influences?

Arayem: Oh I have a bunch it really changes per genre, but I’d say Pharell and Timbaland and Bruno Mars are huge musical inspirations to me.

Hype: How’d you get started producing music?

Arayem: Growing up I took music lessons in Guitar and Drums but I had never thought I had what it takes to make my own music, until I decided to download LMMS (a free DAW) where I made my first beat and started my addiction of producing.

Hype: You have  worked with G Herbo, Jose Guapo, and RichBaby, how did you work towards the situation? What does success look like to you?

Arayem: Honestly consistent hardwork and being willing to do what nobody else is willing to do is the key to all the success I’ve had in the music industry.  Ive made it a goal to make 10+ beats a day and send weekly emails to all my artists. Success to me looks like being able to make a living off of doing what you love. It’s a known fact that money doesn’t buy happiness so as long as I’m happy I don’t need too much.

Hype: What do you have to bring to the game?

Arayem: What I bring to the game is my drums. My drums are my strength and what I think has lead me to work with the people I work with.

Hype: If you could meet any mentor in the game who would it be and what advice would you ask them?

Arayem: I think I’d like to meet illmind and Timbaland. I would probably ask them how they do business to avoid any problems w getting paid or getting screwed with contracts.

Hype: What’s the biggest success/challenge you faced in your 2 years in the game?

Arayem: Honestly getting paid and not messing hurting relationships in the process. Ive learned that just to wait until things are about to release and to only talk to managers about money. To be honest the music part is the easiest part about being a music producer it’s the people who make it hard.

Hype: What do you want to do in these next five years?

Arayem: I see myself working like I do now but working with bigger artists and more plaques

Hype: What are you currently working on?

Arayem: Lots, I have some more stuff coming with Herbo and other big artists like YungSmilez and RWRXero.

Hype: What’s coming up for you in 2021?

Arayem: Even more then what came in 2020. Just keep your eyes open.
