Juju Journey Brener On Her New Movie “Vanquish” With Ruby Rose & Morgan Freeman, Hobbies, Goals For The Future & More

From the director of Double Take, Middle Men and The Poison Rose comes Vanquish, a stylish, glossy action-thriller starring Morgan Freeman (Se7en) and Ruby Rose (Orange Is the New Black) that shows what desperation can drive a person to do. Victoria (played by Rose) is trying to put her dark past as a Russian drug courier behind her, but retired cop Damon (played by Freeman) forces Victoria to do his bidding by holding her daughter hostage. Now, Victoria must use guns, guts and a motorcycle to take out a series of violent gangsters — or she won’t see her child (played by Juju Journey Brener) again.

As directed by George Gallo (writer of Bad Boys and Midnight Run) and co-written by Gallo and Samuel Bartlett (The Grand Design), Vanquish will be available in select theaters on April 16, 2021 and available via Apple TV and everywhere you rent movies on April 20, 2021. For those preferred to physically own the film, Vanquish will also be available via Blu-ray and DVD retailers on April 27, 2021.

I had the pleasure of speaking with actress Juju Journey Brener on April 9, 2021 via Zoom, as embedded below. Brener has been working steadily since 2016, having acted within a mixture of television shows, films, music videos and video games. We spoke about that, what she likes to do when she is not acting, what she hopes to do in the future, and plenty more.

More on Brener is online here, here and here, while more on Vanquish is here, here and here.
