Marisha Wallace On Her Upcoming U.S. Tour, Future Plans As A Singer, “Feel Good” & More

A Broadway and West End veteran, singer and Broadway actress Marisha Wallace is gearing up to perform select concerts around the U.S. this fall. Best known for starring in Something Rotten, Dreamgirls, Waitress and most recently Hairspray, Wallace recently made some waves with a truly-unforgettable performance at the UK’s first NFL game post-COVID. Said performance saw Wallace towering over the stadium on a harness that had to be specially-designed, and the performance itself has since been covered by media outlets around the world, including both CNN and FOX.

The NFL performance caps what has been a whirlwind year for Marisha Wallace, which saw her star in the aforementioned London Coliseum production of Hairspray — the first West End show to return after lockdown — afetr appearing on Netflix’s Feel Good alongside Mae Martin and Lisa Kudrow, and performing for the Queen at the Royal Variety Show. Her upcoming U.S. performances will feature selections from her recent albums Tomorrow and Soul Of The Stage, including Annie’s “Tomorrow.”

On November 1, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Marisha Wallace via Zoom, as embedded below. Beyond her upcoming U.S. tour, we spoke her relocation to England, appearing on Feel Good, songwriting, and breaking barriers. More on Wallace can be found by clicking here, here and here.
