Who Is Big Mama Slime?!

I truthfully just got put on to Showoff Gang Music / EMPIRE Records artist Big Mama Slime when the  Detroit native dropped her new video featuring Bandman Cee called “Beatbox Freestyle. She goes hard on the joint and so we wanted to know more about her and introduce her to you. She’s definitely got promise and bears watching!

From the outside looking in, who is Big Mama Slime?

From the outside looking in, people prolly view me as this girl that always smiling. My Energy is always high, even when I’m sad or going through something.  People probably think I don’t go through shit, but I’m actually the opposite.

What was the defining moment that brought you to the music industry?

So I always knew I was talented, from the singing, to the rapping, to playing instruments.. but the moment that made me realize music was for me was making it on Rhythmn + Flow with Cardi B, TI, Chance the Rapper. I just been turning up the heat since then.

What’s been the biggest challenge about being taken seriously in this genre?

Honestly, my biggest challenge is having this pretty face, and rapping as hard as I can. I write all my own lyrics, I always have,  based on situations I’ve been through.

But, Chance the Rapper and Royce da 5’9  told me my lyrics were too hard for my pretty appearance. But that’s REALLY me. This pretty girl, that have to been to hell and back. I think they were just worried about me taking Cardi Spot. Lol

Who or what are your inspirations?

My mom is who inspired me and pushed me to always be great. Watching how strong she was and how well she hid her stresses, amazed me as a little girl, although I could always feel when something was wrong. Now my biggest inspiration is my daughter! Lil Mama Slime. She literally make me feel like there is nothing I can’t do, and I make sure I give that energy back to her. She can be and do whatever she put her heart to.  And she’s my biggest fan!! She know all my music, from my singing to my rap songs.

How do you see the industry overall right now?

My first thought was “Its mine.”

But honestly, it’s very competitive.  On both sides. The men and the women. I’m not worried about the competitiveness, I just know people would make it further uplifting each other.

When will we see a full project from you?

I’m working on an EP right now, I’ve been so torn on what type of energy I want to give the world. So I’ve decided, ALL OF IT. My mood swings, me talking shit, me crying over these no good niggas. I’m giving it all. So be on the look out 8/31/2021!

What’s the most satisfying about making music for you?

The most satisfying part about music, is that NOBODY CAN TAKE IT FROM ME! You can take materialistic items, you can take a persons freedom, but my music come from INSIDE of me, its my own thoughts and feelings. And that what I enjoy the most.

What’s been the funniest WTF moment thus far in your career?

The funniest WTF moment, was being told I rap too hard. Cause WTF  if you know me in real life, you know I rap about what I have lived or done or been through. Just cause I’m cute don’t mean my background is too. And I remember one time, I was shooting a music video and the generator got stuck on the first pull, so I thought I wasn’t gone be able to finish it. And the streetlights came on like 7 minutes later while I’m starting to pack shit up and I finished my video off the street lights

Where can we find you online?
