The Best Hip Hop Songs About Casinos

Walk in to any casino and you’ll see plenty of players wearing headphones and listening to their own playlist. Music helps people switch off, get in the mood and focus on the job in hand.

There are plenty of songs out there about gaming and making money, from Country to pop and heavy metal. But of all the genres, hip-hop is the one that truly connects with the lifestyle and vibe around casinos and winning big.

Many hip-hop artists have seen troubled times before making it in the music industry. Their song lyrics reflect their rags to riches stories, boasting about fast cars and all the trappings of wealth.

That’s why gamers find hip-hop lyrics inspiring and like to listen while they play in an online casino. With so many motivational tunes out there, we’ve rounded up the five best casino hip-hop songs around.

Mo Money Mo Problems” by The Notorious B.I.G. Featuring Puff Daddy & Ma$e

This song is the second single from the album Life After Death. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks back in July 1997 and is one of the biggest hits in hip-hop history.

The track features guest vocals from Puff Daddy and Ma$e while the instrumental samples the Diana Ross song “I’m Coming Out”.

“We don’t play around, it’s a bet, lay it down.”

A feel-good song that still resonates today, “Mo Money, Mo Problems” is a classic that deserves a place on any hip-hop playlist.

“Money in the Bank” by Lil Scrappy. Featuring Young buck

This track comes from Lil Scrappy’s 2006 debut album “Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live”, featuring Young Buck. It reached number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 5 on the Billboard US Hot Rap Songs.

“I got a Bentley that I only drove one time
50 bought it for me, shorty, but it’s still mine
My Chevy clean and the paint look like lemon-lime
You wanna shine, it ain’t hard, just get on your grind
We keep a bankroll, wallet full of credit cards
Cup full of Cristal, box full of cigars”

The video features cameo appearances from a whole host of people, including Lil John, Young Hot Rod, Lloyd Banks, Chamillionaire and Spider Loc. Dollar bills and gold jewellery take centre stage on screen as Lil Scrappy and crew flaunt their wealth.

With a chorus of “I got money in the bank (yea)”, this is a tune designed to motivate.

“I’m So Paid” by Akon Feat. Lil Wayne & Young Jeezy

“I’m So Paid” is the second single from the album “Freedom”, Akon’s third studio album, and is backed up with vocals from Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy. The track reached number 31 on the US Billboard Hot 100 back in 2008.

“Doing ninety in a sixty-five
Windows rolled down screaming ah!
Hey-ey-ey’ I’m so paid
Number one hustla’ gettin’ money
Why do you wanna count my money
I’m a hustla’ and I don’t need them! One of them y’all see! I’m so paid.”

An inspirational figure, the singer has managed to transcend the boundaries of hip-hop to become a successful entrepreneur in the music industry. Akon’s net worth is estimated at a massive $80 million.

“It’s all about the Benjamins” – P Diddy Feat. The Notorious B.I.G. The Lox & Lil Kim

Released in December 1996, this is the third single from P Diddy’s “No Way Out” debut studio album. “It’s All About The Benjamins” was originally released as a maxi-single along with the Mase and Notorious B.I.G. collaboration “Been Around The World”.

It reached a high of number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1998, and number 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap singles in 1997. The track features a Missy Elliot vocal although it’s an uncredited arrangement.

It’s all about the Benjamins baby
Now, what y’all wanna do?
It’s all about the Benjamins baby
Wanna be ballers, shot-callers
It’s all about the Benjamins baby
Brawlers — who be dippin in the Benz wit the spoilers
It’s all about the Benjamins baby
On the low from the Jake in the Taurus

“Benjamins” is slang for $100 bills, and the song is an unapologetic homage to money, money, money. With P Diddy’s net worth estimated at $885 million, the man definitely knows what he’s talking about.

“Pokerface” by Ghostface Killah, Feat. Shawn Wigs

“Pokerface” is off Ghostface Killahs sixth studio album, “More Fish,” released in December 2006. It reached number 71 in the US Billboard 200 album charts and number 6 on the US Top Rap Albums.

Otherwise known as Dennis Coles and formerly of the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah has a net worth estimated at around $17 million. “Pokerface”, as the name suggests, is the ultimate casino song, featuring samples from the World Series of Poker, plus lines from the Matt Damon poker movie “Rounders”.

“We gotta know how to play your cards, have a mean poker face
And know an ace deuce can take out your pocket broads
This is no limit hold ’em, you gotta know when to fold ’em
If you plan on, staying on top
You can’t lose, what you don’t push into the pot
You can’t make much either, if you a believer of luck
Go all in, if you’re feeling your cards, deep in your gut.”

This track is 2.45 minutes of money winning, hip-hop, Pokerface perfection.
