He Makes You Feel Good: Music Master Kannon “Caviar” Cross Impacts the Industry in 2022 With Groundbreaking Projects

With a two-decade music career, super-producer Kannon “Caviar” Cross batter rams doors of the music industry in 2022 with the Kannon Ent. label, Truce Collections clothing line, and other groundbreaking projects.

Among his recent accomplishments, during the Super Bowl halftime show, all eyes were on the West Coast and Snoop Dogg, who sported a custom blue bandana-themed outfit from the Truce Collections line. Truce Collections, founded and helmed by Cross, is a salute to the long-lived stand down between LA’s Crips and Bloods organizations and has attracted many celebrities supporting the peace treaty between the two factions. Snoop’s custom outfit also boasted a Los Angeles Rams’ yellow accent to support the newly crowned Super Bowl champions. Truce Collections is based in Hollywood, CA, and engages via their Instagram page @TruceCollections.

As Cross is generally known throughout the industry, “Caviar,” who hails from Compton, has been a staple in the music scene for more than 20 years as a producer, recording studio head, and label owner. He’s earned multiple plaques for his work with artists such as T.I., Macy Gray, Noriega, Joe Jonas, Goodie Mob, DMX, Cee Lo Green, and the list goes on. His record label client list is a who’s who of the industry, including the historic Tommy Boy, Atlantic, Sony, Bad Boy, Concord, Def Jam, Priority, etc. He’s now also reactivating his label Kannon Ent and has just reached out to and signed on the rising singer, songwriter, rapper Daja Marie out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bolstering his business moves and marketing initiatives, Caviar has joined forces with The Hype Magazine founder and CEO Dr. Jameelah “Just Jay” Wilkerson, whose outlet is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2022. Wilkerson began The Hype Magazine in 2002 as a one-page community newsletter and has led and sustained its continual growth into an international media powerhouse with a growing network of titles, streaming television, and radio positioning across the globe.
