Disney Music Group Appoints GREATERTHAN for Global A&R Research and Scouting

Continuing its mission to help labels and companies cut through the noise when discovering talent, music tech start-up GREATERTHAN announces a ground-breaking collaboration with Disney Music Group {Distributed by Universal Music Group}. Disney’s Senior Vice President of A&R and Head of Creative, Mio Vukovic, has tapped the startup to be Disney’s A&R research and scouting source across the globe. GREATERTHAN Founder Paula Moore’s proprietary research system, along with the company’s A&R training program, the A&R SCOUT LAUNCHPAD®, make GREATERTHAN specifically equipped for the task. With both Moore and Vukovic having previously been on the Warner Bros. Records A&R staff as VPs of A&R, this marks the second time that the dynamic duo has worked together.

At Warner Brothers Records, Moore was the first female A&R Research executive in the music industry, and built the industry’s first A&R research platform, Flypaper, that connected A&R executive staff, scouts, artists, and data. There, her scout team was responsible for discovering and presenting hundreds of artists that went on to be successfully signed, including The Killers. Moore is still the only female senior level A&R Research executive with IP assets.
