Meet DJ Dez 804 Formally Known as Mattress God
Desmond Chapman, professionally known as DJ Dez 804 is an American hip-hop artist, DJ, and songwriter. He was born in Richmond, VA on September 8, 1992. From the first months of being born the upcoming artist battled with asthma and almost died but with his strength, he overcame it. Throughout his childhood and teenage life, he mainly played football and track. Coming from a bi-racial background, he got a taste of both worlds listening to music. He listened to artists like Daft Punk, Michael Jackson, Missy Elliott, Ice Cube, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, and more.
In high school, DJ Dez 804 dipped into making music but never released songs. He was always nervous too because he really loved playing football. During high school, he would DJ all the parties in Richmond. He got known and turned into the go-to guy for parties. After he graduated from high school he would attend VSU University to play football and study mass communication. During that time he would DJ for local artists.
