Shébani Drops Visually Stunning Music Video “Burn Me Out” Today

Vibrant, emotional, and unabashedly honest, Shébani shines a captivating light onto our deepest emotions with her newest music video, “Burn Me Out” that encompasses all the emotional trauma that comes with the cycle that constantly repeats itself. The emotional trauma that stems from a previous relationship filled with gaslighting and trust issues, carried over to the fear of falling in love with someone new.

Articulating the ever-familiar feeling knowing a new relationship will be different, but still having that sense of a “tug-of’-war” taking place in your mind, hoping that your new love won’t see your pain as crazy but in fact, understand that you’ve been hurt, help you heal, and grow as an individual blossoming in new love. Shébani explains that the song is everything that she is and everything that she has been working on in the past. “Often, we are stuck in between healing and succumbing, but ‘Burn Me Out’ emphasizes that we should always choose to heal.”

Always gravitating towards expressing her authentic self in music rather than word, Shébani brings forth hidden emotions in just one melodic line. The Iraqi-born, now Dubai-based singer-songwriter was raised in a creative family, and yet was suppressed by the social stigma of where she was raised.
