DizzyEight is Combining Christian Rap and Nerdcore to Create Something New
Baton Rouge native and songwriter DizzyEight is bringing a new light to believers in the music industry. His blend of the Christian and nerdcore musical subsets has set him apart from his peers. In 2022, DizzyEight is planning on releasing new projects and taking both of these genres to the next level.
DizzyEight isn’t your average “Christian rapper”. His music contains elements of modern secular music, and not all of his songs are devoid of explicit lyrics. Still, it’s the intention in his message and open worship that make it clear where his faith lies. And in 2022, a bit of honesty, shamelessness, and uncompromising exhalation is perhaps what’s necessary to spread the word of God to nonbelievers. Another niche community that DizzyEight associates with is nerdcore, which is a term for rap music inspired by anime, sports cars, and other “nerd” topics. Even outside of his subgenres, DizzyEight has collaborated with some of the top artists in the country, like rapper Smokepurpp and EDM producer & DJ CryJaxx. His ability to adapt in and out of his lane sets him in unprecedented waters.
