Writing a song with ANDI

ANDI started playing the violin at the age of 4. As a young child learning under a professional violinist in Boston, he was always recognized for his extraordinary ability to pick up any note that wasn’t 100%. ANDI is here to share his songwriting process with us. ANDI writes songs with a topic and goes from there. His engineers and producers are astonished by his songwriting process as he is always starting to write a song in a recording session. When the engineer and producer arrives at the studio they were told that no song has been written. That left them both worried about the recording. But then it only took the talented musician less than 2 hours to compose and write lyrics for a full song from scratch. And the result was amazing, leaving everyone pleased at the end. ANDI’s songwriting isn’t just about those couple of hours, but a whole lot of ideas and feelings from when he was a child. Coming from a family of domestic abuse, he remembers clearly the pain that he went through as a child and wrote his first song Lonely Child based on his true story.

ANDI Young – From talent show idol to vocal powerhouse

Former K-Pop icon ANDI talks about why he left. At the age of 16, ANDI won the best performing artist award and was the First Runner up in the European and international Chinese New Talent Competitions in the Netherlands and Australia. As an Asian descent with a mixed background, opportunities took him to be trained as a K-pop idol in Seoul Korea. Where he had to wake up early in the morning to start his daily stretching routine for dancing, and then singing and stage training in the afternoon. ANDI loved staying in Seoul as he could enjoy the good food that he loves but the daily physical training left his body sore and resulted in his chronic body pains.
