Multi-Faceted Artist Michael Star Makes a Name for Himself
Son of reggae great, Mikey Spice, Michael Star, born Michael Theo Johnson, always knew he had a passion for the arts and got his start in the industry at a young age. Quickly gaining local attention by performing in local plays and talent shows, Star became a mainstay within his community and hasn’t looked back since.
He has had the pleasure of opening for heavy hitters in reggae like Beres Hammond and Wayne Wonder, among others, and Star takes inspiration from some of the greats like Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, and Chris Brown.
Michael is a dedicated artist, producer, songwriter, dancer, and more, and continues to work on his projects daily. Aside from his music career, he is working on engineering a few projects, writing short films, and preparing to show the world who he truly is.
In 2020, he gave fans a glimpse into his magic with his track, “Feel Me”, which shows off his vocals and warm and soulful voice. His latest release, “Tun Up”, shows off his versatility and is sure to bring dancehall vibes combined with fun energy and Star’s unique vocals. He continues to work on his EP and is giving it his all with an honest and introspective project that addresses every facet of life.
