Meet Loraine Trammell the Author of Walking in Faith During a Storm

There’s an old cliché (and a popular film entitled) “I can do bad all by myself.” However, Loraine Trammell, author of “Walking in Faith During a Storm” believes that that cliché should be reworded to “I can do better all by myself”.  With Loraine ‘s favorite scripture being Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strentheneth me” it is truly evident that her faith is rooted and grounded in the word of God. Family oriented, spiritually grounded, civic and community oriented, Loraine embodies a spirit of integrity, honesty and loyalty. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Loraine graduated from Atlanta’s Hoke Smith High School in 1983. Upon graduation, she furthered her education at Massey Business College and received a Certificate of Completion from Control Data Institute.   In 1986, Loraine accepted a position with Primerica Financial Services (MILICO) where through hard work, determination, and perseverance she progressively attained the position of Liaison Specialist.  Loraine feels extremely blessed that she has been able to render 30 years of service as an employee of Primerica.

Loraine has been a member of the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. Her entire life and was baptized at the age of 9.  Throughout the years and under the tutelage of Beulah’s current pastor, Reverend Jerry D. Black, Loraine experiences perpetual spiritual growth.  As a humble servant, she gives unselfish service to God, her family, her church and community.  She currently holds several leadership roles at Beulah including Vice President of the Service Guild and Vice President of the Mission Council which oversees the entire Missions’ Department.  Loraine also serves on the usher board and is a dedicated member of one of Beulah’s mission ministries.   As a faithful team player, she also accompanies members as they visit nursing homes, homeless shelters, and hospitals.  Loraine also sits on the Board of Planning Council for the Jerusalem Oasis Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the mentally-challenged in securing appropriate housing. Loraine is also a motivational speaker, commentator and has made several appearances on local radio stations.  Always aspiring to be a model, Loraine is currently pursuing that goal by free-lance modeling for The Lyngale Agency.   In addition, she also does media hosting red carpet events.

Loraine has been nominated as one of Atlanta’s Hottest Author’s for 2017. Her book Walking in Faith During A Storm was born out of her own painful battle with depression.  Turning her private pain into a public purpose Loraine writes  “I was compelled to write this book to encourage someone who is ready to give up in life and feels as though all hope is gone towards life.  Depressed, oppressed and in a mess was the state of mind that I experienced during my time of separation from my husband……..”   It is Loraine’s prayer that even if only one person comes through this devastating illness called depression, then she has done as has been commanded by God.    On a sad note, Loraine’s mother, Mary Trammell passed on May 14, 2017 (Mother’s Day).  This is just another storm, though very severe, that she continues to walk through by faith.
