Quiver Distribution Acquires BROMATES Starring Lil Rel Howery and Josh Brener

Quiver Distribution recently announced the acquisition of worldwide rights to the buddy comedy BROMATES from writer-director Court Crandall (Old School). Quiver will release the film in U.S. theatres and on-demand on October 7, 2022.

Produced by Darius Films and Snoopadelic Films Inc., BROMATES stars Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), Josh Brener (“Silicon Valley”), Brendan Scannell (“Heathers”), Asif Ali (“WandaVision”), Jessica Lowe (Blended, “Minx”), Flula Borg (Pitch Perfect), Ken Davitian (Borat), Taryn Manning (“Orange Is the New Black”), Marla Gibbs (“The Jeffersons”), Rob Riggle (The Hangover) and Snoop Dogg (Baby Boy).

BROMATES follows best friends – though polar opposites – JONESIE (Lil Rel Howery) and SID (Josh Brener), who both break up with their girlfriends at the same time and decide to move in with each other. Things move quickly from heartbreak to hilarity to life and death.

“Based loosely on a true story, we tried to create a comedy that delivered the big laughs of our favorite timeless movies while providing a new spin in terms of the makeup of the cast and underlying focus on clean energy,” says filmmaker and co-writer Court Crandall.

BROMATES, a Darius Films, Grambo Productions, and Snoopadelic Films Inc. production, was written by Court Crandall and Chris Kemper and directed by Court Crandall. Nicholas Tabarrok served as producer with Chris Kemper and Snoop Dogg executive producing.
