Held at the opulent Faena Forum in the heart of Miami Beach, the second day of this sold-out extravaganza saw a constellation of renowned artists gracing the stage. From Carin León to Chencho Corleone, Vico C, Grupo Frontera, Maria Becerra, Nicky Jam, Ivy Queen, Pedro Capó, Peso Pluma, Sebastián Yatra, Young Miko, and more, it was a star-studded affair that left fans exhilarated.

One of the highlights was the “The New Mexican Revolution” panel, where the chart-topping singer-songwriter, Peso Pluma, shared insights into his forthcoming album. This Mexican music sensation is redefining the genre, and he left the audience intrigued about what’s to come. The panel, moderated by Jesus Gonzalez, Vice President, Creative, Latin, at Broadcast Music, Inc., brought together Adelaido Solís and Juan Javier Cantu of Grupo Frontera, who delved into the making of their hit collaboration with Bad Bunny, “Un x100to.”

Empowering Women in Music: Breaking the Glass Ceiling

Billboard’s iconic “Women On The Rise” panel, aptly titled “Boys Club No More!” was a powerhouse session featuring dynamic artists Gale, Kany García, Maria Becerra, Nathy Peluso, Nicki Nicole, and Young Miko. They engaged in an insightful conversation about breaking through the glass ceiling in the male-dominated music space, creating their unique images, embracing vulnerability, and never giving up. Presented by Lexus and hosted by Leila Cobo, Chief Content Officer, Billboard Latin/Español, “The Power Players: The Indie Edition” panel provided insights from the heads of three influential Latin indie music labels. Jimmy Humilde, CEO of Rancho Humilde, Federico Lauria, CEO of Dale Play Records, and George Prajin, CEO of Prajin Music Group, discussed their journeys to success with Latin artists, emphasizing the importance of persistence and prioritizing mental health.

Reggaeton Legends Reunited: Chencho Corleone and Vico C

In a lively conversation hosted by Leila Cobo, reggaeton legends Chencho Corleone and Vico C took a trip down memory lane and explored the past, present, and future of the reggaeton movement. Vico C, who returned after a 14-year hiatus, shared insights into his creative process and highlighted his latest album, “Pánico.” The panel also unveiled a surprise clip of Chencho Corleone’s music video for “Un Cigarillo,” his debut single as a solo artist, which showcased his signature production technique, “reggaetón puro.”

Nicky Jam, the Dominican and Puerto Rican artist, returned to the Faena Forum with “The Rockstar Show Live.” This event featured intimate interviews with La Reina del Reggeaton Ivy Queen and Fuerza Regida’s JOP. The night was electrified as Nicky and Ivy engaged in an unprecedented freestyle session onstage. Ivy Queen discussed her artistic journey, her songwriting process, and the importance of breaking gender norms in the Latin music industry. JOP shared his journey from being a barber to having his own label and announced a new reggaeton song in the works, coinciding with the release of Fuerza Regida’s new album on October 20th.
