The landscape of the industry witnessed a remarkable digital evolution from analog, a shift that Menza and his high school friends adeptly navigated through the establishment of DCM Media Group. Driven by his childhood passion for music and Hip Hop culture, Menza played a pivotal role in guiding artists through the digital revolution. His proficiency in social media, digital platforms, and playlists stems from extensive training, including a certification as a YouTube channel manager under the guidance of Lyor Cohen, YouTube’s global president.
Menza’s expertise empowered Hip Hop legends, having served as Erick Sermon’s general manager from 2018 to 2020 and consulted for esteemed acts such as Naughty By Nature and the ILL Town Sluggers. His impressive roster includes managing GRAMMY-winning Lost Boyz, platinum-selling Cassidy, Capone of the Capone-Noreaga supergroup, Bizarre from D12, Lil Cease of Junior Mafia, Nature of The Firm, Ali Vegas, Royal Flush, and emerging superstar J-Sos.
The Thanksgiving Eve concert stands as a culmination of DCM Media Group’s decade-long collaborations, uniting partnerships, brands, and artists. Noteworthy among these collaborations are the successful Pixel Parade custom emoji brand and the Capone clothing brand, both solidifying Menza and Mickey Knox’s vision.
Going beyond their business success, Menza and Mickey Knox ardently endeavor to conserve and preserve Hip Hop culture. They emphasize their goal isn’t merely to safeguard the culture but also to preserve the unique timeframe in which it blossomed. Both proudly consider themselves Long Island staples, hailing from the same neighborhood as EPMD, Craig Mack, Keith Murray, and Biz Markie.
An open invitation is extended to all music enthusiasts, industry professionals, and fans to join Menza and Mickey Knox on November 22, 2023, for a night dedicated not only to celebrating Hip Hop’s 50th birthday but also honoring the vibrant and ever-evolving culture that has shaped the music and entertainment panorama. It’s a not-to-miss opportunity to unite and revel in the beats, rhythms, and narratives that define the essence of Hip Hop.
