The clip continues what has quickly become a tradition of cinematic visuals for the band. Intense closeups evoke the energy of the song on-screen. At the same time, the duo of Milkie Way and Sam Matlock immediately transfix with unbridled charisma as the ultimate 21st century sonic rogues.

Right out of the gate, this atomically catchy banger gained traction on DSPs in addition to attracting acclaim. Beyond plugs from DORKKERRANG!, and more, Revolver praised it as “slinky, and Mxdwn proclaimed, Wargasm are the pinnacle middle ground found in-between heavy metal, electronic, rave, alternative and industrial created by Milkie Way and Sam Matlock.” Rock Sound dubbed it “enthralling.

On the track, the band said“Love is war. Modern love is war. We live in an age where we’re connected by wires and signals and satellites but we’ve never been further apart from each other. We live in a lonely period of time. “Modern Love” is our answer to the fragility and self-harming nature of love in the 21st century. This is our deranged love anthem. A true Britney moment with a Nine Inch Nails backbone running throughout doused in Deftones-inspired guitars. We’re all in love until we’re not.”

“Modern Love” tempers guttural distortion with glossy synths, striking a balance between heavy musicality and hypnotic hooks. Over a grimy riff that’s as thick as a 2×4, Milkie Way warns, “It’s modern love, and it’s war, in her unmistakable melodic croon. From there, the song spirals back into the gleeful insanity this duo specializes in!

It also lands in the wake of their recent anthem “Bang Ya Head” [feat. Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit]. Beyond generating 296K Spotify streams and 108K YouTube views on the music video, it picked up widespread praise. Revolver raved, “it’s a party-metal rager in the LB tradition, readymade for breaking stuff, possibly your neck while banging your head, as the song suggests.” KERRANG! christened it “explosive, and mxdwn applauded, “The track is an undeniable attack on all of the senses, from danceable electronics to thrashing guitars and powerful vocals courtesy of Milkie Way and Durst.

As a true standout, “Bang Ya Head” distills WARGASM’s controlled chaos into a focused and frenetic burst of energy. The track itself bounces between glitchy rave-ready electronics, gnashing teeth-gritting guitars, and quotable rhymes only to culminate on a lyrical volley between Milkie Way and Fred. He urges, “Keep banging your head until you’re breaking your neck. Milkie counters with a nod to Bizkit’s classic “My Generation” with the warning, “You’re in the jungle punk!” After the band opened for Limp Bizkit last year on their 2022 tour, they teamed up on the soon-to-be-iconic track.

The moment doubles as a figurative passing of the torch, enshrining WARGASM as boundary-breaking nu metal’s heir apparent.

It followed the single “Do It So Good.” The latter has already piled up half a million total streams and counting in addition to earning critical acclaim. Beyond plugs from the likes of UPSET and more, Revolver summed it up succinctly as “fiery.” Right out of the gate, Louder named it one of “the best alt. rock songs you’ll hear this week, and proclaimed, “Rowdy and ferocious, ‘Do It So Good’ sees the fast-rising alt-rock duo bring the rave to the mosh pit as they fuse together The Prodigy’s anarchic sound with a lethal metal edge.

The music video for the track equally matched the intensity as it sees Milkie Way and Sam Matlock performing live and in a distorted glitch screen video tunnel. Check out the official music video for “Do It So Good” HERE.

ABOUT WARGASM:

WARGASM are the climax of an orgy between heavy metal, electronic, rave, alternative, and industrial powered up by the friction of two gleefully insane creative insurgents Milkie Way and Sam Matlock. They honed a vital and visceral vision across early bangers such as “Spit.,” “Rage All Over,” “Salma Hayek, and “Scratchcard Feeling,” paving the way for 2022’s EXPLICIT: THE MIXXXTAPE. Beyond reeling in over 10 million streams and counting, the latter incited the applause of PAPER MagazineRevolver Magazine, and more as well as earning the endorsement of icons such as Jonathan Davis of Korn and Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit who personally tapped the band to open a 2022 North American arena tour. They stand out the rare force of nature who could hold their own on tour with either YUNGBLUD or Corey Taylor of Slipknot. Plus, they’ve graced the covers of Alternative Press and KERRANG! in addition to garnering the first-ever “New Noise Award” at the 2022 KERRANG! Awards. However, everything simply set the stage for their 2023 full-length debut album, Venom. The duo deliver a shockingly catchy blast of horny and hypnotic heavy music as unpredictable as it is uncompromising. Its lineage can be traced to the big-screen genre mashing of the nineties, yet it’s spiked with a 21st century fury that could only belong to WARGASM. You’ve been warned by singles “Bang Ya Head” [feat. Fred Durst] and “Do It So Good. Rock music won’t be the same, and thank God for that.
