Slim Thug Hosts Holiday Extravaganza: A Festive Affair at Checkers with Santa Claus, LaTavia Roberson, and More!
The Nawf’s very own, Slim Thug aka Big Slim, graced the newest Checkers in Baytown with his inimitable holiday cheer during a dazzling Holiday Party and toy Drive. A prominent figure in Houston’s Northside, Big Slim previously joined forces with Checkers in 2022 to launch his exclusive meal, The Big Slim Meal, a delectable combination featuring The Texas Bacon Buford, Checkers Famous Seasoned Fries, and a beverage served in a limited edition 44 oz collector cup.
A Tradition of Giving Back
For the past four years, the collaboration between Checkers and Big Slim has extended beyond the realm of culinary delights. Their partnership has been a beacon of community outreach, with a track record of hosting impactful initiatives throughout the city. Last year’s joint effort resulted in the collection of over 500 toys and gifts for the local kids, and this year’s endeavor was no different. Slim Thug & Checkers continued their philanthropic spirit by amassing over 500 toys, generously donated to the Baytown Police Department for the joy of the children in the community.
Star-Studded Festivities
The festivities were graced by the presence of some familiar faces. Joining Slim Thug were none other than The Black Santa of Houston and LaTavia Roberson, known for her role in Destiny’s Child, all contributing to the festive ambiance of the event. With the Baytown Police Department providing a touch of wintry delight, including complimentary snow, the celebration truly embraced the holiday spirit.
A Joyous Gathering for All
This vibrant and heartwarming event, held at 6199 Decker Drive, Baytown, Texas, was open to the public and offered an array of delectable food, exciting prizes, giveaways, and an exclusive meet and greet with The Grinch, adding a whimsical touch to the festivities.
