Supporting Young Artists: Jamecia Bennett Live at the Ordway Invites Community Sponsorship

Jamecia Bennett, renowned vocalist and advocate for the arts, is spearheading an initiative to bring the transformative power of theater to the young talents of the North Side community where she was raised. The Ordway presents “Jamecia Bennett & Friends Concert,” a night of jazz, blues, and soul, scheduled for February 23rd. In an effort to provide young artists without outlets the opportunity to experience an upscale performance in a theater setting, Bennett is seeking support from interested creative sponsors.

“We are seeking 10 sponsors at $300 each to support 10 kids in experiencing a theater event,” explains Bennett. “Our aim is to purchase tickets for the February 23rd show and bring as many North Side youth to THE ORDWAY CENTER OF PERFORMING ARTS in St Paul Mn . By witnessing someone like me, who hails from the North Side, thrive in this environment, we hope to inspire these young artists and cultivate their interest in the arts at this level.”

Jamecia Bennett’s journey in the world of music and theater is a testament to the transformative power of the arts. From touring and being the featured lead vocalist w\ the Grammy Award-winning Sounds Of Blackness to gracing the stages for 10 years w/ Tyler Perry and performing on renowned theaters stages such as The Guthrie and The Ordway, Off Broadway and a plathra of other major theaters around the world. Bennett has dedicated her life to both her craft and uplifting her community.

In addition to her illustrious career, Bennett runs Minnesota Movement LLC, an organization focused on artist development and management. Through her work, she provides guidance and support to up-and-coming artists, nurturing their talents and helping them navigate the complexities of the industry.

Becoming a sponsor for this initiative not only supports the arts but also directly impacts the lives of young artists in the community. Sponsors will have their names included in the sponsorship video list, showcasing their commitment to fostering creativity and inspiration among the youth.
