0Liz Miele On Her New Special “The Ghost Of Academic Future,” Her Creative Process & Plenty More
Career comedian Liz Miele started doing stand-up in New York City when she was 16 years old. By the time she was 18, Liz had been profiled in The New Yorker Magazine. At 22, she appeared on Comedy Central’s Live At Gotham and had also been on Comedy Central’s This Week At The Comedy Cellar,” NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, Hulu’s Coming To The Stage and AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live. To date, Miele has released three live comedy albums and two specials, in addition to a book, while co-hosting the podcast 2 Non Doctors with comedian Maria Shehata and writing and producing Damaged and Apt C3.
In July, Liz Miele announced the release of her new comedy special The Ghost Of Academic Future, which will premiere on September 6, 2022 via YouTube; Miele will also release an album version of the special on the same day. Recorded live in New York City, the self-produced and self-released special is Miele’s third stand-up special and follows her previous self-released specials, Emotionally Exhausting (2.7 million views to date) and Self Help Me (1.4 million views to date), which both remain available for streaming via YouTube. In support of the release of The Ghost Of Academic Future, Miele continues to tour across the United States, including headlining dates this month at Greenwood Village, Colorado’s Comedy Works South, Phoenix, Arizona’s Stand Up Live, and Long Island’s Brokerage Comedy Club.
