Beenie Man Releases First U.S. Single ‘Yardie’ in Five Years

Reggae and Dancehall music legend Beenie Man, releases the new music single ‘Yardie’ off his forthcoming studio album entitled ‘Unstoppable’. The new single ‘Yardie’ breaks through as an update to the familiar rhythmic vibe of most dancehall tunes, tapping into the musical DNA of the dancehall genre while adding in a new wave reggae bassline appearing in hip-hop. The new song will appear on the forthcoming studio album entitled ‘Unstoppable” set to debut on August 26 and will be available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon Music.

The new single ‘Yardie’ debuts after a hot summer of guest features for Beenie Man including his vocal stylings on the hit single ‘Controlla’ by Drake off the RIAA certified platinum album ‘Views’. With dancehall taking center stage over the summer, Beenie Man preps for the release of his 22nd international studio album featuring an all-star roster of guest features including Sizzla, Lady Saw, Busta Rhymes, Sean Paul, Akon and Verse Simmonds. Channeling the golden era of dancehall music in the 90s, Beenie Man is set to bring back a retro sound fused new era production.

The new single ‘Yardie’ will be available on iTunes on Aug. 15.
