The – Dream drops Sam Cook Covers ‘IAMSAM’

Tis the season of giving. In the spirit of the holidays The-Dream releases a surprise Christmas gift. The 8 track collection “IAMSAM” is filled with legendary Sam Cook covers inspired by his late mother.

Expressing the reason behind this project The-Dream took to his Instagram to explain “My mother loved a lot of artist growing up, but the one we stared the most interest in together was Sam Cook, so tonight I give back to her. These songs were orinally recording during the making of Beyoncé‘s 4 album in 2010. My mother passed away on the 23rd day of December in 1992.”

The-Dream belts away some of Sam Cook’s classics with passion and sincerity.
