K Jr Kaze discusses almost quitting the industry in “The Fade”

“The Fade” is a complete opposite to the previous tracks I put out which were more about displaying skill dominance to hyped beats. It’s really stripped down and a personal venting track about me almost giving up on music. I think a lot of people chasing their dreams regardless of what that dream is would relate to it because at some point of that journey you do feel like giving up sometime because you or other people make you loose track of WHY you were chasing it in the first place.”

Artist, K Jr Kaze was at a point of giving up during a stage in his music career, but like many it was at the request of someone else.  Moving from city to city, starting over again and trying to live the “normal life” with a steady job because that’s what was asked of him.  “…but all it did was really destroy me from the inside out and nearly killed my spirit to the point I couldn’t feel the same way about music because all that started to fade by forcing myself to accept a change I clearly didn’t want deep inside. I mean I met great people on the way and was making good money
but it didn’t change the fact that I wasn’t happy,” he says.

After conversations with producer friend, “Fox B” things started moving again and they began the gradual process that became”The Fade”.

He offers advice for people at the brink of giving up:

It’s part of life, it’s normal.. if you never faced it in life it’s because your dreams where never threatening enough for your haters and doubters and I’m no expert in giving advice because everyone handles their battles differently but from my experience I just had remember my purpose and surround myself with people who understood and supported that purpose which is how I got out from the slump I was in.
