CMT Music Award Nominee Devin Dawson Joining Brett Eldredge for Fall Tour

Having wrapped the spring dates of Brett Eldredge’s Long Way Tour this past weekend in NYC, Warner Music Nashville / Atlantic Records recording artist Devin Dawson will join Eldredge again for the second set of tour dates this fall. With his debut album Dark Horse still ranking as this year’s highest charting country debut from a solo male, the acclaimed singer/songwriter also received his first CMT Music Awards nomination this week for “Breakthrough Video of the Year.” This music video recognition for the Gold-certified single “All On Me,” which follows the ACM New Male Artist nod he earned earlier this year, comes as the stylistic live video for his new single “Asking For A Friend” is released today. The week of its release, “Asking For A Friend” was the most added new song at country radio and included as one of Rolling Stone’s10 Best Country and Americana Songs of the Week.
Before joining Tim McGraw & Faith Hill for the summer 2018 leg of their critically lauded Soul2Soul The World Tour, the breakout star will be taking his headline tour overseas this month with stops in Germany, Netherlands and the UK. The NorCal-native has not only shared his “intoxicating swirl of pop, R&B, and rock” (Entertainment Weekly) on the road, he’s also performed for national TV audiences multiple times, with appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, TODAY and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Most recently, Dawson received the ultimate surprise during his stop at ELLEN, where Ellen DeGeneres herself presented him on-air with his very first RIAA Gold-certified plaque for the “memorably melodic breakout” (Billboard) “All On Me” having surpassed half a million track equivalents sold (WATCH HERE).
Called “One of country music’s most tender and articulate wordsmiths…” by The Tennessean, Dawson co-wrote every track on Dark Horse, which arrived Top 3 and Top 5 on Billboard’s Country Albums Charts. He was the only country artist on Entertainment Weekly’s “8 Artists Who Will Rule 2018” list and Shazam’s “Next to Know” list with People and ELLE featuring him as the only male recording artist across all genres on their 2018 Artists to Watch lists.
