WIS Music set to release its first mixtape together as a group

Group of talented artists, WIS Music, to release the group’s first mixtape titled “World Into Sound Vol. 1.”

WIS Music is a collective of solo artist that are childhood friends who have come together to make music and push their sound. The group has announced that they will be putting out their first project together, which will be released in form of a mixtape with the title “World Into Sound Vol. 1,” which will be showing the world what these talented acts can do together as a group.

The music world has grown in recent times, with several talented and creative minds treating music lovers across the globe with beautiful, thought-provoking lyrics and sounds. WIS stands for World Into Sound, which explains the title of the group’s first ever project.
WIS Music consists of talented minds like Evion, Izzy, and Polo McKnight, is one of such amazing talents, with the group seemingly aiming to change the face of music across the globe. Evion Rivers is a rapper/R&B artist and songwriter, Polo McKnight, a rap/R&B artist, Izzy is a rap/R&B artist and songwriter, each of them growing up in Scarborough.

The group is working on its first mixtape together and has released a song titled “I want it all,” which features Evion and Izzy on all digital platforms. The song is the latest single from the group and was inspired by the desire of the group to want everything from fancy clothes to cars and the girls.

The group aims to tell the world their story, including their ups and downs, in a melodious yet thought-provoking manner. Growing up around music, with some members of the group growing up playing other instruments or dabbling in other genres or music groups, the team came together for the first time when the first group track “could’ve been,” was made.

The group has been majorly influenced by the hood, where the members grew up, working on their craft and trying to show the world and their views in the form of music, which led to the titled of the mixtape – “World Into Sound”.

Over the years, the group has overcome different obstacles, the biggest one is getting the required finance for promos, studio time, and radio plays. However, thanks to their manager, this obstacle has been effectively handled.

WIS Music hopes to uses music to show the world their lives, experiences, and their perspective on certain topics. The group seems to be getting the needed attention already, performing at the 2018 edition of Ice Cream Festival, which was the group’s first-ever performance on a major show. The group is also working assiduously to promote their work, making a 16-hour road trip to make contacts and promote their sound in Atlanta.

Tell us about your current project?

Our current project that we are working on is titled “ World Into Sound Vol 1 “ it’ll be the group’s first mixtape together and we are aiming to show the world our world through the music. Right now on all streaming platforms we have, I want it all with Evion and Izzy. The inspiration behind the track comes from us just wanting it all be it the fancy clothes, cars, and the girls.

Each of the artists grew up in Scarborough, Evion Rivers is a rapper/r&b artist and songwriter who often puts what he views and goes through into his music. A lot of emotion and thought goes into his music before even recording, bringing a dark laid back feel to his music he tells his life stories to all his viewers. Polo McKnight is a rap/R&B artist coming with the cool vibes and hard takes from living in the city trying to make it as an artist. Recently re-joining WIS Music he’s rebranded and recreated his style. McKnight has played around with producing and learned how to make beats at first but decided that rapping is where he wants to focus his energy.

Izzy is a rap/r&b artist and songwriter who has always had a thing for music, he would often write on his commutes to school. Bringing a dark yet energetic vibe to his music he creates and lets you be involved in his life story where he tells you all about his heart breaks and growing up in the hood.

Wis music stands for world into sound, which means we are putting what we see and go through in our world into our music for the world to see and we hope you all enjoy it.

As you see your self, who is Wis?

We are a group trying to get out a message, our message letting people know and feel what we’ve been through, the ups and downs of growing up in the hood and in life.

What brought you to the entertainment industry and music specifically?

We grew up around music with some of us grew up playing other instruments or dabbling in other genres or music groups. overall music first brought us together as a group when we made our first group track “could’ve been” reminiscing about our brother that passed away recently and from there the grind started.

What and/or who influenced the sound you bring today?

Growing up the hood mostly influences our sound that we bring today. We didn’t come from the best households or had the best living situations but we have been working on our craft and are trying to show our world and our views in the form of music hence “World Into Sound”.

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

Going through the creative process, the writing, finding or making the beats, along with recording and mixing and mastering makes it fun so it doesn’t feel like we’re working which in my opinion is the best part

What was the biggest obstacle in getting to your current career phase?

Honestly, the biggest obstacle so far has been money, because we are just starting out it’s hard to get out there because promos, studio time, and radio plays all cost money. Lucky for us we got in contact with a good manager that’s going to help open some of these doors and has helped us with this one.

What do you want people get from your music?

Basically, we are trying to show our lives, our experiences, and how we feel about certain topics in music. We want people to know we are different from us rest and we’re bringing our own wave to the table.

What do you feel has been your greatest life achievement so far?

Performing at our first festival as a group! ( ice cream festival 2018 ) We have yet to grace big stages and this was our first big stage our first festival, I’m sure we will be doing more and more shows but for now, this is a great achievement.

If you could collaborate with one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Lil baby and or A boogie because our styles would blend very nicely, they have a lil R&B vibes to their style like we do plus they grew up in the struggle like we did so it’d be a perfect collaboration bringing two different views of struggle onto one song.

If you had to pick one song of yours, that really explains YOU, what would it be?

Our latest single “ I Want It All “ because it shows how hungry and willing we are to make it in the music industry, we will work harder than everyone else to prove we deserve it.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…

We did a 16-hour road trip to make contacts and promo our sound in Atlanta, not a lot of people make that 16-hour trip there and back but we are dedicated and want it to be known.
