Pittsburgh artist SPISH channels empathy & absurdity on Adult Swim video

SPISH aka Pittsburgh artist Nate Die has a unique sound and aesthetic, with somber yet tongue-in-cheek vocals cutting across fuzzed out guitars and disjointed rhythms. Nate and his band have been shared stages with the likes of The Garden, HOOPS, Kikagaku Moyo, Girl Band and The Radio Dept.

He tells us the new video, a collaboration with Adult Swim artist Jack Stauber is about “the fear of going to hell, or missing out on a certain salvation, which has been a continual theme in my environment growing up. I wanted to capture that feeling in a pop song— something digestible. Everyone is here to escape and I think this video showcases some of that awkward angst.”
