Linda Perry on QuestLove Supreme

On this week’s QuestLove Supreme podcast, Linda Perry walks Team Supreme through the ins-and-outs of being a woman in the music industry and shares advice she gives to everyone she works with.

Linda calls herself extremely sensitive, but uses this to her advantage when it comes to songwriting. She constantly connects music to her daily life – describing songwriting as a collaborative process, even if no one else helps write, based off the inspirations behind the song.

She used her negative experience with the production of the 4 Non Blondes album Bigger, Better, Faster, More! as a catalyst to supercharge her producing career and and continues to inspire women that she works with today. She tells them, “Stand up for your creativity and step into your power, money will come.”

Perry has produced hit songs for several successful artists such as “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera and “Get the Party Started” by P!nk. Perry also contributed to albums by Adele and Alicia Keys, as well as signing and distributing James Blunt in the United States. She was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015.

A new edition of the Questlove Supreme podcast is available to listen to every Wednesday on Pandora right HERE.
