Rayana Jay Spends 24-Hours in Brooklyn w Her EX in “That’s Alright” Music Video

Following the release of her latest, 7-track EP ‘Love Me Like’, Bay-area singer/songwriter Rayana Jay delivers a laid-back visual for “That’s Alright”, via EMPIRE.

Shot in Brooklyn over the summer of 2018, “That’s Alright,” directed by Harlem’s very own Annie Bercy, details the modern-day love story of two long-distance lovers. The visuals encapsulate all of the excitement, anxiety and feelings that come with rekindling an old flame. With only 24-hours to conquer Brooklyn, Rayana and her ex-beau attempt to forget time and live in the moment.

“The video is a Brooklyn based love story. It follows young lovers who don’t have the most time together but make the most out of it. I wanted viewers to see it all; the anxiety of getting ready, the joy, and the realization that nothing is forever,” explains Rayana Jay.

Charting #6 on iTunes R&B and hitting Top 50 on Apple Music, Rayana Jays new EP ‘Love Me Like’ showcases her unique poetic lyrics and unforgettable vocals, all composed into a how-to guide for loving Rayana Jay. A proclaimed love letter to her younger self, the project carries a confessional, old-soul storytelling nature rooted in honesty on each record that highlights her velvety smooth vocals and airy harmonies. ‘Love Me Like’ is by far her most vulnerable, honest and therapeutic record to date. On her journey of soul-searching and self-reflection, Rayana expresses herself not only as an artist but more importantly, as a woman in the music industry.
