0YSN Hazel – On My Way Single
Rising trap soul artist YSN Hazel, offers a new coming on his latest single “On My Way“. His Atlanta roots and southern upbringing play out melodically on this release. Being heavily influenced by ATL legends T.I., Outkast, and Field Mob, his authentic sound is reminiscent of all of these notable artists. He for sure has a something different coming out of the south.
On this single you will hear the MC flowing about being on his way to the top. As someone who has big dreams and goals Hazel, will not let anyone knock his shine. He discusses topics such as death, loyalty and success in a musically satisfying way. Some lyrics that stand out most on this release are “they want to see me down, cause I’m going to put them in they place, n****s hate I’m on my way ay ay ay ay.” The closer you get to the top, the more haters will try to bring you down. He does a great job of acknowledging his past, accepting his present, and understanding that greatness is near.
The cryptic trap beat, takes his raw vocals to the next level. You can hear the raw pain in his delivery as the chorus builds into the verse. His raspy voice, and honest word play, are two elements of this song to lookout for. He has a soul undertone that is inspired by Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke and New Edition.
