French Deal Wins “Best Fashion” at 2019 La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival

French Deal wins the award for Best Fashion at the 2019 La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival. The Parisian–based men’s luxury brand was nominated across six categories including Best Music, Best Narration, Best Fashion, Best Cast Ensemble, Best Art Direction, and Best Creative Concept. The award marks the first time that French Deal participated in the event, making this inaugural visit a success for winning in such a notable category as a first time attendee.

According to the brands Artistic Director, Steeven Kodjia, “I am humbled and honored to win the award for Best Fashion at the 2019 La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival. The film was a tribute and a celebration of my African heritage, and I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to share it with everyone at the festival.”

Entirely made in the Ivory Coast, in Abidjan, the fashion film, which features the brands latest collection, Volume 4, reveals the Artistic Director’s return to his roots. Through the film, viewers are able to travel, discover, and learn with him while on his journey. French Deal celebrates Africa and shows us the wonderful and painful story of a queen ready for the greatest sacrifice to save her people. The strength of the Woman is put under the spotlight in the heart of the Baoule people’s Odyssey. The music is bewitching. The images are authentic. French Deal transcends and elevates us in the clouds of an ethnic mix.

The film is expected to be released in September 2019. Below please find credits.
