CEEM Releases New Single “Remedy”

Singer-songwriter and producer CEEM releases his third single “Remedy”. Remedy is the sequel to another song written by CEEM, “Unbreakable”. He wrote “Unbreakable” in response to living through the 2016 terrorist attack in Nice, France on Bastille day. CEEM wrote “Unbreakable” when he came back from that trip feeling shattered and confused, and writing “Unbreakable” helped put himself back together.

CEEM went back to Nice July 2019 for Bastille day, alone this time, and retraced the steps and the horror that took place. He wanted to go back and finish writing his upcoming album Cruel World. He had to go back to the origin of trauma, find all of the broken pieces and put them back together and in the process found a Remedy to his own healing and that’s how the song came about.

Based in Seattle, CEEM steadily erases boundaries to encourage inclusion through his immersive electro pop musicality. With a genre he dubs as ‘Emotronic,’ the artist blends electronic music with emo, merging 80’s glitzy synth-pop with the transformative broodiness of emo music, strung together with lyrics covering themes of rebellion, inclusiveness of the marginalized, heartbreak, and acceptance. “As the world becomes more divided,” he states, “we need music and art to bring us together.”

A classically trained pianist who graduated from Berklee School of Music with a degree in Electronic Music Production, CEEM bleeds music and showcases all of his talent and creativity in his upcoming EP Cruel World which will be available October 18th, 2019. It is extremely important to CEEM that his music and artwork bring people together on a multitude of levels.
