“Lost Boys” Found in Hip Hop Artist Ekoh’s New Music Video with Corey Feldman

A new music video titled “Lost Boys,” written, directed and edited by Ekoh (Jeff Thompson), an independent hip hop artist from Las Vegas, is a hip-hop anthem and music video spin on the horror classic Lost Boys. With the help of Corey Feldman & Jamison Newlander reprising their iconic roles as the Frog brothers, Ekoh creates a visual experience somewhere between an indie horror short and a music video, which is perfect for Halloween.

Ekoh states “I had been toying with the idea of doing a horror short music video for a long time. As soon as I thought of the concept and wrote the chorus for Lost Boys, I knew this was the song for it. I started writing the storyline for the video and re-watching the film, when I had a crazy thought. What if I could get Corey Feldman to make an appearance? Being an independent artist, it’s usually impossible to make something like that happen, but that’s never stopped me before. I reached out to Corey via social media fully expecting never to hear back, but, a week later I did. Corey loved the idea of a cameo and it was actually his idea to bring Jamison on board. As you can imagine, I was ecstatic. I wrote out a script, which Corey and Jamison both added their own flavor to. We are all very proud to present this indie horror film/music video, which will evoke nostalgia for all Lost Boys fans and is a dream come true for ten-year-old me.”

Best known for his sub-genre of HEART HOP, A term Ekoh’s fans gave to brand his sound, which focuses on lyricism. Ekoh’s music encompasses topics ranging from mental health to pop culture nerdom. This time around he takes on a music industry afraid to let independent artists through the door in fear they will lose control. As Lost Boys” fans  know you NEVER invite a vampire into your home because it will render you powerless.

Ekoh is currently on tour in the US this fall and winter with Chris Webby, Rittz, and Dizzy Wright. You can follow him @ekohmusic for more details.
