Sølv Talks of The Contrasting Sides to “Control” In New Single

Sølv is a London based singer, songwriter and producer that’s known for her mesmerising amalgamation of electronic, r&b infused pop. This young creative produces impressive soundscapes that revel in her idyllic and angelic tones. The new single, Control (produced by Sølv and mixed by Rahm Silverglade (Lapsley, Kiah Victoria), boasts Sølv’s refined production and writing skills, as well as her ability to deliver a mysteriously sinister tinge within her vocal delivery.

Ensuring vocal-heavy creations, Sølv’s music has been likened to iconic tastemakers Banks and Lana Del Ray. Entirely self-taught, Sølv loves to immerse herself in every part of the musical creation. Already two critically acclaimed EP’s under her belt, Sølv has built a solid reputation for being an experimental artist that produces intelligently layered sounds with cinematic appeal. Predominantly known for her most-haunting single, Codeine, Sølv has also worked with key creatives in the field.

The entirely self-produced single, Control, explores contrasting perceptions within the word. Both exhilarating and ethereal, the narrative hopes to avoid a life of fear, but understands that change is inevitable. Sølv has delivered a darkly emotive and beautifully unsettling effort that hosts her intricate production and effortlessly sultry vocals.

Sølv says… “The song explores a moment in time and a space for self-reflection. It’s that terrifying, yet liberating, moment of epiphany when you realise things have to change. Exploring both the positive and negative connotations of the word, Control is about realising you can’t control every aspect of life, while finding the strength to take control of your own thoughts.”
