The Ultimate Playlist for High Rollers and Big Spenders: Songs All About Money

No one will argue with you that music is inspiring and it can even make you feel lucky as well. Whether you’re hosting poker night at your house or spending a few hours at your favorite online casino or reading reviews of online casinos to see where you should try your luck,  this playlist can get in the mood to win big.

M.I.A. “Paper Planes”

Female English hip hop artist, M.I.A. stirred up a lot of controversy with “Paper Planes” in 2007. Despite radio play and television appearances censoring out the gunshots in her chorus, the song climbed the charts and continues to be a popular song featuring clips of The Clash’s “Straight to Hell.”

If you actually listen to the lyrics, you’ll realize that “Paper Planes” is a lot more than money and hustlin’ and even though M.I.A. says it’s a song about hardworking immigrants and Americans perception of them, some critics think it’s a pro-terrorist song.

How does this song make our list? We love this line: “Everyone’s a winner, now we’re making that fame/Bonafide hustler making my name.” And you really can’t go wrong (or get this catchy yet simple line out of your head): “All I wanna do is (gunshots/cash register “ca-ching”) And take your money…” We can’t help but pretend that the “ca-ching” is a slot machine pouring out winnings.

50 Cent “I Get Money”

There are a lot of ways to earn money that will get you in trouble and a few ways that can potentially (and legally) get you a lot of money in a short period; one way is of course, gambling.

Have you ever won a poker game with friends or got lucky at a blackjack table? Even if the winnings didn’t stick around as long as you like, you probably felt like a pretty big spender. Haven’t won yet? Keep dreaming big and consider this inspiration: “I come up out the jeweler, they calling me Rocky/It’s the ice on my neck, man, the wrist and my left hand/Bling like blow, you like my style/ Ha ha, I’m heading to the bank right now.”

J.Cole “ATM”

J.Cole’s “ATM” (or “Addicted To Money”) is a commentary on society’s obsession with money but you can also choose to spin it in a more positive light.

Life is too short to save all your money and not have any fun. Spend it wisely, do a little gambling, learn some good strategies, and win big. “Count it up, count it up, count it up, count it…/Can’t take it when you die, but you can’t live without it.”

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis “Make The Money”

Most songs about money are all about living and spending big. While having “big” money can help you live out all your dreams, it can go straight to your head. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Make The Money” is a friendly reminder to be proud of making money, but don’t let it change who you are. “Make the money, don’t let the money make you/Change the game, don’t let the game change you.”

In the casino world, high rollers can be successful AND down-to-earth. Being a big winner doesn’t mean you have to cash it all in to become someone you’re not.

Here are a few more tracks to put on your playlist:

  • Junior Mafia “Get Money”
  • Cardi B “Money”
  • Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock “Money Trees”
  • Puff Daddy and the Family, The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim “It’s All About The Benjamins”
