1$T Releases Tokyo Project & Accompanying Short Film

1$T (fka FKi 1st) released his new 8-track Tokyo Project today along with a 24-minute short film, Tokyo The Movie. Written, produced and performed by 1$T, Tokyo Project was recorded during a transformative trip to Japan earlier this year and it marks 1$T’s first solo project in more than three years. While 1$T is best known as a superproducer for many of the decades biggest hits, he showcases his vocals and presence as a solo artist on the new project. During his time in Japan, 1$T also worked with local artists to create the next installment in his Good Gas mixtape series, Good Gas Tokyo, which is set to release early 2020.

Last night, 1$T premiered his 24-minute short film, Tokyo The Movie, at an exclusive screening event in Los Angeles where attendees enjoyed Tokyo Project-inspired art from Australian artist Friezah and Bay Area artist Virgil Warren, pre-rolls passed out by geishas, an open bar with Skara CBD infused cocktails and food by Trap Kitchen. Attendees included friends and collaborators 2Chainz, A.CHAL, Yoshi24k, Kevin Bradley, Kevin White, Danny Seth, S3nsi Molly, Dro Fe, Louise Chantal and many more. Sounds by Good Gas DJ Looneygoham.
