K-Pop Artist Ailee’s Gift To Fans: An English Language Single

Worldwide leading K-pop artist, Ailee announced the release of her holiday single, “Sweater”, today. Working with Sun and Sky Records to bring the single to the US, “Sweater” marks the first English language single by the Korean-American artist. The moving Christmas ballad showcases Ailee’s powerful vocal range over a delicate piano melody and beautiful strings.

The emotive single brings many symbolic messages that many can relate to, of which Ailee says, “I hope this song brings good memories to all who hear it, during the Holiday Season and beyond.”

“Sweater” marks Ailee’s first release since her 2019 album Butterfly confirmed her fourth entry on Billboard’s World Album chart, debuting at No. 13. This ranking made Ailee one of K-pop’s leading solo females on the charts, tying with the likes of BoA, HyunA, and Lee Hi. Ailee’s highest rank on the Billboard World Album charts belong to her 2016 album, Vivid, which peaked at No. 6. Having garnered multiple Best New Artist, Best Newcomer, and Best Female Vocal Performance Awards (among others), the Korean-American artist has solidified her standing as one of K-pop’s leading solo females and has connected with fans worldwide surpassing over 980,000 listeners on Spotify.

Ailee is releasing the single under American label, Sun and Sky Records, an up-and-coming record label under the umbrella of Sun and Sky Entertainment.
