Oliver Shaw ‘Of Darker Plains’ album launch

Camden-rocker Oliver Shaw is back again with his second studio album Of Darker Plains, which will be launched at a special party on the 19th of March alongside a limited edition vinyl release at The Dublin Castle.

Tickets for the launch are available here: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/booking/select/dOXgkJcsHnvy

The follow up to his debut  The Last of the English Cowboys (2019) which was released exclusively on vinyl, Darker Plains has been digitally released and is available on all platforms now. A beautiful collaboration with producer Paul Tipler (Placebo, Idlewild, Stereolab) Of Darker Plains represents a more sophisticated, confident sound which echoes British bands such as Radiohead and Blur.

Stand-out tracks include the spunky Burmese Taxi Taxidermy, and Instant Grams where he attacks ‘you on your settee’ and single Everyone Needs a Dan Leno which considers alter-egos and schizophrenia based on a true story about Peter Sellers.

A short documentary on the making of Of Darker Plains can be seen below:

Oliver Shaw’s next gig is in Paris on the 29th of February at 12 Rue Feydeau.
