Chris Scholar Drops Cinematic Visual for ‘Northside’

Northside is the latest work by Chris Scholar, the Virginia Born RnB artist who has an eye for visuals and an ear for a commercial record. Now based in LA, the artist has written for powerhouses such as Chris Brown and Ariana Grande. He’s also been behind the lens for the likes of Trippie Redd, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana and Tank.

The visual for Northside is a coming of age love story, taking place in Richmond, Virginia, the hometown of Chris Scholar. Directed and edited by Chris, with shots coming from his crew of friends, the video depicts cultural landmarks packed with dreamy effects. Since moving to Los Angeles 3 years ago, this visual is the first that Chris Scholar has filmed back in his old stomping ground. Following a loose narrative the video shows Chris and his love interest who is from the opposite side of town, whilst playing with concepts of dual reality.
