0Donae’o Links Up With Blanco On New Single ‘Vancouver’
Acclaimed artist Donae’O has unveiled slick new single ‘Vancouver’, featuring South London rapper Blanco, out today.
Announcing itself with sparse, menacing beats, ‘Vancouver’ kicks off with the deep vocals and insightful lyricism of Blanco, before Donae’O flexes his talents on the catchy hook and a flurry of commanding bars.
A producer, songwriter, rapper and vocalist, Donae’O has been an early adopter of almost all crucial urban movements coming out of the capital – from garage to grime to the UK funky-inspired house that continues to influence today’s charts. More recently, he linked up with Idris Elba and Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie to release the Afrobeats-flavoured single ‘Party & Bullshit’, which was followed by ‘Back Down’, a UK Funky-led track that features London drill artist K-Trap, Kyze and LD.
Hailing from Kennington in South London, Blanco is an up-and-coming rapper who makes music inspired by his Angolan and Portuguese heritage. Last year’s EP ‘Pull Up’ featured production from 169 – known for working with Dave, Headie One and Fredo amongst others – and award-winning French-Brazilian producer Alexay Beats.
An intriguing track, ‘Vancouver’ combines elements of Donae’O’s signature sound to masterful effect.
