Odette Shares Poetic-Soul Track “Feverbreak” featuring Hermitude

Soulful and dramatic, passionate and unpredictable, Sydney-based singer-songwriter Odette showcases her inimitable style with the release of her new single “Feverbreak.” It features the electronic production duo Hermitude and marks her first musical release since 2018.

“For me, writing this song was a relief,” Odette explained. “I could finally allow myself to feel the anger I was locking away in my heart. This song is about rage. To have been able to explore this with Hermitude was a privilege. They created this chaotic, electronic world that I was free to scream in.”“Odette is a legend. She kept us in stitches the whole session and managed to create an amazing tune at the same time. Her pen and paper were quick to weave an engrossing story, and her melodies perfectly complemented the music,” said Hermitude.

“Feverbreak” was produced by Hermitude (El Gusto and Dubs) and mixed by Scott Horscroft (Birds of Tokyo 360, Sleepy Jackson). Beats 1, Radio 1 and Triple J have already spun the track, and Beats 1 host Rebecca Judd has chosen Odette as one of her Ascending Artists. The single is Odette’s debut track of 2020 and her first release since “A Place That I Don’t Know” featuring Gretta Ray.

Odette burst onto the scene in 2017 with “Watch Me Read You,” an epic ballad about the complexities of processing trauma. The single landed at No. 56 on Australia’s Triple J Hottest 100. Her follow-up singles “Collide,” “Take It To The Heart,” and “Lights Out” all reached gold status, and her debut album To A Stranger debuted at No. 13 on the ARIA Album Chart and earned her two 2018 ARIA Awards nominations, including Breakthrough Artist.

Stay tuned for more music and announcements to come.
