0PG Ra & Jetsonmade Release “Keeping Time” Video
Fresh off the heels of “Made It,” South Carolina rapper PG Ra connects with his Carolina cohort Jetsonmade for the “Keeping Time” music video. The introspective visual, helmed by Young Chang (Yo Gotti, Tory Lanez), finds the 21-year-old lyricist facing his demons head on and offering a cautionary tale for all the street disciples. Produced by GRAMMY-nominated maestro Jetsonmade (DaBaby, Jack Harlow) and 1st Class (G-Eazy, Stunna 4 Vegas), “Keeping Time” is the latest track from PG Ra’s upcoming EP God’s Gift. The project is both an ode to the rising rapper’s turbulent past and a celebration for being able to persevere despite life’s challenges. In 2019, the Orangeburg native and his family mourned the tragic loss of his younger brother Ray Ray, who played a pivotal role in influencing his music career and mindset, encouraging him to explore the breadth of his talent.
In 2018, PG Ra self-released his first tape, CEO Vol. 1, and later rounded out the year with an EP titled Up & Boppin’. With eyes on the Carolinas thanks to the mercurial rise of DaBaby, PG Ra rose to the occasion to keep the South’s momentum healthy, releasing 2019’s Blowing Candles to notable acclaim both regionally and in rap circles across the country. The 12-track project, since heralded as one of the best independent drops of last year, helped establish PG Ra as a promising upstart, becoming his first release to organically hit Apple Music’s Top 100 Album Chart.
PG Ra has a penchant for delivering lyrics with a cadence that is adaptive without ever losing potency, showcasing a consistency that is refreshing, raw and demands respect. PG Ra is entering the next level of his career with a hunger representative of his grander vision for putting South Carolina on the map.
