YAVID Breaks Down Barriers in New Album: ‘Black Teeth Devil, Vol. 4’
Versatile rap-Metal lyricist YAVID, aka David Gunn (lead vocalist of the Flint, Michigan-based metal-rock band King 810) demolishes traditional social boundaries with the fourth installment of his independently released album series entitled, ‘Black Teeth Devil,’ out now.
YAVID undoubtedly invites listeners to experience his complex journey of sound experimentation and controversial topics he’s encompassed on his latest offering, ‘Black Teeth Devil (volume 4)’.
“It’s like I’m stand-in on the corner passin out testers. BTD 4 is the next tester I’m throwin to fiends before I hit that album mode,” exclaims YAVID.
When not performing with King 810, fans know the versatile vocalist by his rap moniker, YAVID, who provenly separates his solo work from King 810 by entwining mental with hip hop. Most recognized for his outspokenness against societal norms, YAVID isn’t afraid to push boundaries and write lyrics that explore extremely controversial and traditionally uncomfortable topics.
Prior to joining King 810, YAVID was already an independent recording artist. The journey in that essence meant finding the courage to start releasing the solo creations he was otherwise keeping out of the public eye. Becoming restless running in place creatively, YAVID’s evolution and exploration takes him somewhere new within himself.
