BTK Villeion: From War Refugee to Breakout Musician

Originally from the Ivory Coast of West Africa; 22-year-old artist BTK Villeion is a rapper on the rise who overcame the greatest of odds to be where he is today. With a lifetime ahead of him, BT is now on a mission to leave a meaningful impact on this world.

Upon leaving his home country and moving to the United States as a war refugee, BTKVilleion and his family faced the harsh life of living in a low-income community in Indianapolis. The environment he was brought up in led him to make the wrong decisions. This eventually landed him in and out of jail.

While in jail in 2014, BTK Villeion would often sing to pass time. His cellmates found interest in his voice and signed him up for the prison talent show. Although not under the best circumstances, his cycle of going in and out of jail taught him how to find solace in music, specifically rap.

It was through rough obstacles that the rapper realized his talent for rap and decided to push forward. Following his release, he became the first artist to be signed to his brothers Halton and Preston Kai’s record label, Villeion Empire LLC. Since signing on to the label, BTK Villeion has already found success in the industry with his smash hit “Rockstar” which has accumulated over 230,000 streams on Spotify. Join the rapper on his musical journey because he has more masterpieces in the making. Check out the visual for his latest single Name featuring Kittii Red.
