English multi-talented alt-pop prince Vaughan speaks with such tendency and openness through his poetical lyrics. With the recent release of his highly anticipated sophomore EP ‘I WAS’ , Vaughan returns with his most standout offering yet with ‘Silence’.

Written in one session, ‘Silence’ is a chilling self-confession to lonesome. The musician says of his new single “With bare bones of voice and piano, I added the unexpected chord in the chorus as a way of symbolising how love is the defining amongst the ordinary. :00 PM in the afternoon in East London and I will describe myself to you. I write of the
many times my heart was stamped on and I got a BitCrushed. How I grow
petals of inspiration from Patti, Cocteau and Bukowski. Sewing lyrics somewhere amongst the
country-side schools that I went to and spread myself thinly. I harbored myself on the waves of
instruments, and rode them to speak out when I couldn’t find the words. The
different versions of myself I created to evade identity and become an imperfect phantom. Downing
drinks I let Bad Behaviours chemically temper me, so I may forget who I was.
Times I shut myself away with noise only to prefer the sound of Silence.
Anxiety inducing mind states that I battled with electricity, voltage and current, learning that all music is made from lightning.
Times I thought about who I might become growing up. Never-forever the Youngest At The Party.’
