KEMBE X – SCARED Featuring Denzel Curry

Chicago native, Kembe X known for his edgeless lyrics, finally drops his long-awaited single “SCARED,” featuring rapper Denzel Curry. The hard-hitting banger was first teased by Curry earlier this year in July on social media. Collaborating in the past with artists such as Ab-Soul, Guapdad, IDK and Rexx Life Raj, recruiting Curry to collaborate on this single was a no-brainer for Kembe as the two share similar styles, energy and world-views.

Since coming off tour with Schoolboy Q late last year and having to cancel his own headlining tour earlier this year due to the pandemic, Kembe has been locked up in the studio working on his craft. Kembe X continues to proves his growth as a un-conventional rapper through his avant-garde ability to reinvent his sound and style while staying true to his individuality. SCARED is proof of this growth as his hard-hitting lyrics and rock-rap style captivate his fans and listeners. Listening to Kembe and Curry on this unsettling track (produced by Opi Taylor), the two dive into discomforting topics with their disruptive flows on SCARED. Stirred by the recent 2019/2020 reality of the overwhelming natural and political disasters going on in the world, Kembe went into the studio and transferred all this anxiety in the most honest and unorthodox manner.
